Up for sale is a Carousel 1 CA4751b Mason Distributing Exclusive — the 1967 AAR Eagle-Weslake V-12, #9 as raced by Dan Gurney at the German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. 1:18 scale. Limited to just 504 pieces. Personally autographed by Dan Gurney on the display base.
The Eagle Mk1 (T1G) is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful Formula One cars ever built — Len Terry's clean beak-nosed monocoque paired with Aubrey Woods' shrieking Weslake V-12. In Gurney's hands, this was the car that won the 1967 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa, making him the second driver in F1 history to win a Grand Prix in a car of his own construction. This particular variant depicts the #9 chassis as it appeared at the 1967 German GP at the Nürburgring — same iconic Weslake V-12, dark metallic blue livery, white nose stripe, and polished exhausts.

Carousel 1's rendering is superb: correct chassis details, exposed suspension and inboard springs, Weslake V-12 with individual stacks, Goodyear-lettered tires, mesh intake screen, and cockpit detail.

This Mason Distributing exclusive was released in 2003 in a run of only 504 pieces, each personally autographed by Dan Gurney on the diorama base. With Gurney's passing in 2018, personally signed pieces have become increasingly sought-after.

Condition:

Model shows no paint chips, decal lift, or broken parts
Exhaust pipes, mirrors, and roll hoop all intact and correctly positioned
Dan Gurney autograph on the display base is bold and stable
Clear plastic display cover is present and undamaged (removed for photography)
Diorama grass base is clean with no peeling or tears
Inner Carousel 1 presentation box is clean, no crushing or writing
Outer white Mason shipper box shows some staining and tab tearing along the top flap edge — structurally sound
Certificate of Authenticity from Mason Distributing Company (signed by Henry Mason) is included and clean
No dust or wear indicators — appears never displayed

Note on packaging: The Mason Distributing exclusive Nürburgring variant was produced using Carousel 1's standard AAR Eagle tooling. The inner presentation box graphically depicts the standard #36 Spa Winner car, but the actual model is the rarer 504-piece #9 Nürburgring variant as confirmed by the Mason COA and outer shipper labeling. This is factory-original packaging.
Ships securely double-boxed with the original outer shipper protected inside a shipping carton.
